June 5th Thursday
It was another early morning for me. I left the campground and headed north around 7:30. The GPS wanted me to take highways so I didn't use it during the first part of the way. I followed the signs until I ended up in a town with a bunch of construction and then the wrong lane. It was time for the GPS then. I made a few little stops along the way home. The first to stretch my legs was at a park along the Housatonic River.
Most notable was at a rail trail.

After passing signs and going over the rail trail twice, I decided if I saw it again, I would stop; so I did. The part I walked was a lovely, well used paved trail along the Cheshire Reservoir.

Driving long makes me stiff and ache. I probably should have stopped another time but I pushed on and got home in the afternoon. Seeing some of the family was wonderful. Then I went to Keziah’s store to see the rest of the family and some friends. It is good to be home and I am looking forward to sleeping in my bed tonight.
There are irises and rhododendrons blooming in the yard.
