Yule Event

December 13th

Happy things for Saturday the 13th:

• Work today was shortened so that I could attend the Stonemarche Baronial Yule Event.  I used up almost all of my paid time off and went home to sleep for an hour before getting ready for the event.  Since we will lose what we don't use at the end of the year, I'm so glad I did that and got a bit of sleep to help me get through the day.

• At the event I watched the Fencing competition, got to talk with some friends, ate some delicious food, and eventually fell asleep in a comfy chair before court started.  It was mostly a nice mellow event for me.  

• As for the Baronial Court, I didn't go.  I stayed outside the church sanctuary where the court was and watched a two-year old and occasionally his older sister.

• After the event, there was a business meeting and after that some friends and I went to a nearby restaurant and had some Indian food.  I tried a new-to-me dish that I enjoyed.  
• Since I was exhausted, a friend came home with me and her son came and picked her up.  While we waited for her son, we talked about the house and she drew up a quick map for my new bedroom.  I just need to say that I have some pretty fantastic friends.
