Happy Birthday to Gideon! Here are my happy things from today:
- Keziah and I spent part of the morning grocery shopping. It is always nice to spend time with my daughter even doing mundane tasks like shopping for groceries. We got an ice cream cake for Gideon for his birthday.
- Bel left a huge icicle on my car as a surprise!

- Preparation for the hike is going slower than I wanted. Today I found our food dehydrator and hope to clean that up and figure it out over the next few days. That might be how I spend most of my days off going forward.
- Gideon got a cookbook for Christmas that I think is based on Dungeons and Dragons. For his birthday he wanted to make a recipe from it. I don't remember the name, but it is a mint and milk flavored gelatin. Maybe they will save me some. I had fun helping him make it.
- Gideon and I also started playing a game of Scrabble. The thirteen year old is wiping the floor with his grandmother! Hopefully I'll be able to at least close the gap next time we play. I'm so proud of him!
