Moon! |
Most of today was bright and sunny. In the afternoon the clouds started rolling in. We had a good sized storm heading our way. Here are some happy things:
- Bel and I had a chance to sit and talk about some of the last pieces of gear we need for the hike. I have ordered a headlamp, stove, and some waterproof socks. Next weekend, I'll be able to try them out.
- In the afternoon I went to Keziah’s store, DIY Craft & Thrift, for a little while. I expected to just say hello, work out some logistics, and leave. I was there for over an hour. I helped put a few things onto shelves and visited with friends who were there.

I can't take credit for this colorful display of knitting needles. It looks so nice I had to take the photo. |
- Just as the snow started to fall, Bel and I headed to Brookline, MA. They had a bus to catch for Maryland. Bel has things to do there before we can head out on our hike. I had a long drive home as the snow got deeper. I ended up stopping at the rest area in Salem, NH to sleep for a little while and wait for the plows to really do what was needed to clear the highway. I'm safely home now. I'm very thankful that Zed let me use their car for the trip. It is way nicer to drive in the snow than mine is. We are getting this round of snow plowed from the driveway so the cars are parked across the street at the ice cream stand. We'll still need to shovel the cars out over there I think. It won't be as much though.
