We drove a lot today. At some point I realized that we were driving through areas that had been damaged by last year's horrific Hurricane Helene. We saw damage, but we also saw that rebuilding is underway in many areas.
Daffodils were blooming in many places. Some of those places were in what I would consider normal places, people's yards and roadside. Other places seemed off to me. I'm not from the south, do they normally come up in the woods and in less popular areas? I don't know. They are a lovely burst of color and a reminder that spring is on the way.
We got to the Lodge later than hoped, but safely. There are always more stops than anticipated. Anyhow, sleep overtook me before I could finish this at my last known internet place for a bit. Here are some pictures from Sunday, March 9, 2025.
