March 21st
Tomorrow, Keziah and I say goodbye to these beautiful, heavy, coronets. The coronets and the responsibility that goes with them will move on to different heads and shoulders to bear. My feelings about this are multifaceted. There have been some wonderful things that I feel we did while Baron and Baroness. We helped to reshape the way our Baronial Laws are written. We won battles. We were able to give some very deserving people awards. We also saw plague and divisiveness. As well as new friendships made. It is the good parts that I plan to bring forward. Tomorrow will mark the end of this part of my life. I will be walking forward with a lighter head. I expect that my shoulders will have a new weight, a 60L backpack to be precise. 😂
Here are some happy things from today:
- Both of the baronial coronets had a pearl missing. I took a few minutes this morning to glue new ones on. I'm not sure the coronets will ever look as good as new again. They will get cleaned and shined tomorrow as best we can.
- It is traditional for the Baronage of Stonemarche to give Their Majesties stones. I finally got some for our current King & Queen today. When we first started doing this, we didn't know about the tradition. Then we just found pretty rocks. For the last set of royals I gave them some rocks that I had painted and used in the garden. This set of royals I painted the stones for them. Keziah had some slate slabs at DIY Craft & Thrift that I used. I'm not much of a painting artist, so these will have to do.
- Keziah and I brought a large amount of things to the incoming Baronages. We had a bunch of stuff. Keziah’s SCA closet has space again!
- When I was at the store Zed commented on my hair. I got silly with it and he took some pictures. There will be more about my hair tomorrow. Thanks to Zed for the pictures.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
