Happy St Patrick's Day!
It was a night to get naps in the car at a rest area and to take turns driving. We made it home safe around 19:30.
Some highlights include:
- Observing nature and how the spring-like weather in Georgia became more and more like winter again as we traveled north. In New York, it snowed some. Nothing accumulated while we were there, but I was surprised to see the flurries. Vermont still has places with a fair amount of snow and ice. The rivers and streams are high from the recent ice melt and precipitation.
- Yesterday I was sad to leave the trail; today I was happy to be home. It was good to see the rest of the family again. Tomorrow, Bel and I can start planning our return to the Appalachian Trail.
- Keziah and I had an online meeting to discuss the plans for the SCA event this coming weekend. Schtick is getting planned!! Now that I'm home early, I realize all the things I need to do before Saturday. I'll be making lists.
