Here are some happy things from today at the Pennsic War:

• For the last few years I have arrived early at Pennsic and have been in charge of getting things set up.  I've had some wonderful helpers.  This year, because I was supposed to be hiking the Appalachian Trail, Stephanie has been in charge.  She has been doing a fantastic job and has also had some wonderful helpers.  The shower has been giving her problems though.  It is set up and works, but the hot water is only intermittent.   It wasn't the best shower today, but it was a good shower and we are learning.  We have new theories to try and make it work better tomorrow. 
• Much of the day was spent rearranging the pavilion and getting things set up better.  Some day I'll try to take a picture!
• We drove into town to pick up a few things. Somehow all the flashlights were broken and the lanterns didn't get packed.  We also went to Dairy Queen and I got a Blizzard, yum.
• In the evening, after the sun had set, I went to a class about identifying stars.
