September 5th
Here are some happy things from today:
- Bel and I went out for breakfast at a restaurant we hadn't tried before. The servings were large and the food was very good. The pancakes I had were sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar as well as a caramel sauce. Yummy.
- Bel and I then went to Keziah's store to help her organize some things. She has been busy this week. There is a small room that became full of stuff that is now her office. The store is two years old and she finally has an office.

I don't know who made this, but it is at Keziah’s store, hiding in the back room. I think it is a creative way to use old silverware.
- Gideon decided to walk home from school today. It took him a little over an hour to walk the two miles. I'm happy that he chose to do this on his own.
- Stephanie and I met at an ice cream shop this afternoon. We are hoping to go backpacking next year and we started the idea part of the plan.
- Friday night is craft night. I pinned together the Viking apron dress pieces that I cut out last weekend. I also cut out pieces of wool that I'm hoping to make into a hat.

Two of the hats I made a few years ago that aren't quite right.

One of the hats on me. As a side note, my hair has grown a lot in the last five months.

Edit to add that I saw a shooting star!
