Here are some happy things from today:
- There were protests across the country today. A friend and I attended one. There was a good turnout despite the cold, damp weather. We didn't stay long because neither one of us are crazy about crowds. I plan to post thoughts from today on my other blog, but I might not get that far before I fall asleep.
- We warmed up at DIY Craft & Thrift and then went to lunch. I have a former coworker that opened a Korean restaurant that I wanted to try. I've never been brave when it comes to trying new foods, but I'm getting better. We both really enjoyed our meals and the service was wonderful.
- Later, Bel and I met with my friend Stephanie. She will be driving us to Georgia so we can get back onto the AT. Plans are made. I only have a few more days to organize my stuff.
- Which brings me to downsizing! I emptied a box today by throwing away a lot of it. I found places for some of the things too. One less box. Yay! Some things that were unboxed:

This is to hold a phone receiver from back in the day. My grandmother did the painting on it. It is broken. I'm thinking about glueing it back together to see if it will hold a cell phone. |

Pins, a patch, some rocks, and things |

A piece of birch bark that I believe belonged to my mom. |

A broken pair of my mom's glasses from a really long time ago. |
