Georgia

It has been a long drive.  A street we took was named Booger Hollow Road.  I don't want to know how that name came to be!  Despite the road names, we made it to our location and are safe in camp.  I'm so thankful to Stephanie for bringing us down. Here are some other happy things from today:

  • One of the artists at Keziah’s store is very skilled in woodburning. If you ever go to DIY Craft & Thrift, check it out.  Keziah is going to be putting up the map of the Appalachian Trail that I gave her in the store so people can follow our progress.  The artist made little pins of us to put onto the poster.  Keziah sent a picture.

  • Here are a couple pictures from the way down.  They are random between Virginia and Georgia.  Spring is a little closer here than it was in New Hampshire. Trees are flowering and it is lovely.

  • We seem to have brought cold air with us.  It may be a rough night.  The view is lovely, and the wind is howling.  We took shelter by a stone ledge to make dinner so the wind wouldn't blow out the stove.  We saw some pretty flowers along the trail that I will try to get pictures of tomorrow.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
