May 5th
Here are some happy things from today:
- At DIY Craft & Thrift, my daughter Keziah's store, some of the space in the building is rented to other vendors. Yesterday one of the other vendors moved out and Keziah will be taking over some of that space and expanding her area. I went there today to help move some things around. With the help of some other volunteers we emptied a corner of the storage room. Much of what we emptied also got sorted by category. It was fun to help out. When I wanted to sit down, I untangled some yarn.
- Near the parking garage there were some trees blossoming. One was a purple lilac. I'm not sure what the other was. The picture is a bit blurry. I still like the picture though.
- After that I met my friend Amy at the mall for a walk. It has been raining out and the mall is generally dry. We walked and talked for a while. I'm so glad we got the chance to see each other before I leave again.
- Before leaving the mall I decided to try to fix some things with my cell phone account. Over two hours later the place was closed and I left with three new cell phones! That is not how I expected to spend the late afternoon. Transferring the data was extremely slow. Then when I got my phone home and started checking to be sure I have everything, I found that my Google account was suddenly too full to upload photos or get email. For some reason 1096 photos were added to my account that should have been deleted. Once I looked at everything on my laptop instead of a phone I was able to fix it easily. Yay new phone! Zed and Gideon also got new phones. Keziah's phone was recently replaced so her phone didn't qualify for a free replacement.
