Going forward, LOPs in the blog title stands for Lots Of Pictures.
Happy Mother's Day!
It was nice to hear from some of my friends today, especially from my kids. If I had waited until after Mother's Day to head back on the trail, I'm not sure I would have left. I miss my family and friends.
One of the things I wanted to do on this trip was to walk across the Hudson River. Today I walked across the Delaware River. It has only been a few months (last fall) since I have walked across a bridge over water with cars. How could I have forgotten how that vibration feels when a truck goes by? It is definitely more intense on a bridge where the traffic is traveling around 65 MPH. If I end up walking back there to my car, I'll be prepared.
Once in Pennsylvania I walked through a small section of town before entering a wilderness area again. There were a fair amount of day hikers for the first few miles. Yesterday was busier. I met a few people today that are hiking their own hike, one couple and at least five others. They started in different places and are going different ways. One guy started the trek going south, but now he's going north. I was the only one headed south that I met.
Here are some pictures:

The water coming from under this little bridge is coming from the pond in the next few pictures. That water is the beginning of the waterfall a few pictures back. |

Rock stairs. There really are a lot of rocks in PA. |

I was able to keep my shoes on for this crossing! |

Lens thinks these are partridge berries.

The deer is hard to see in this picture. I Zoomed in to get better shots. |

The sunset. I already had my shoes off so I stuck my hand out of the tent. |
