Not enough internet!
This morning I packed up in the rain and drove north. I found a place that has overnight parking with a permit. That is where I met up with Timourne. She gave me a ride back to Gathland State Park. That is where I started hiking north. When I originally did the math for this section I planned on four days of food. It seems like I am on track for that. I parked my car about three miles closer than my original plan. That means I might not need to feel pressured to do a thirteen mile day on Saturday. Phew.
The ride with Timourne was really nice. We haven't seen each other in quite a while. She is Bel's former fiancee, they seem to still get along okay. Anyhow, it was nice to catch up. Of course I didn't think to get a picture.
My hike started at around noon and I hiked about 5.4 miles. There were not many places for views, pictures below. I'm trying to sleep in a shelter again tonight. It had started to rain again when I made that choice. I met some nice people today and I may try hiking with some of them for a little bit tomorrow.
