Happy June

Happy Pride Month!  🌈

The SCA event being over, we packed up this morning and said our goodbyes.  They went back to New England, and I went to New York.  

After doing some exploring by car of the area, I found a campground to stay at.  I also have a tentative plan for tomorrow.   I must say, the closer I get to home, the more I want to be there.

At the campground I did some more exploring, this time on foot.  There is access Lake Welch.  There is a small beach that seems to belong to the campground that is next to a much larger public beach with picnic areas and fields to play in.  With the temperature around 60 degrees, not many people were swimming.  Folks were playing and picnicking though. 

The walk was nice, but I wanted a little more.  I checked the Gaia app and found a trail off the campground.  There have been bear sightings recently so I didn't go far.  The map had "Irish Potato" as a destination, so that is as far as I went.  As I suspected, it is a big rock.  It seems to just be dropped there. 

It does resemble a potato.
