Busy Day

 September 12th

Here are some happy things from today:

  • First thing this morning I went to have my yearly mammogram.   The thing that made me happy is that my hair color almost matched the color of the hospital gown!  I took a picture, because I'm weird, but you don't need to see that.  😂
  • My next stop was to help a friend move.  Most of her things were already packed up into a pod, so there was only a small UHaul to put things into.  I'm glad I got to see her before she moved and that I was able to help.  Another friend got a picture of me before I climbed out of the trailer.

  • After that I met Amy, Stephanie, and Stephanie's Mom for a nice walk around Dorr's Pond.  Wildlife was busy at the park.  Chipmunks kept running in front of us and squirrels were busy frolicking in the leaves.  The birds were active, too.  My pictures don't portray much of the wildlife though.

I didn't get close, but that is some kind of wasp nest.

The brook is low.

There are ducks in this picture, really.

  • To close up the day, I helped Bel and Corvidae put some more wire chicken coop mesh stuff on the chicken coop.  They saw a racoon near the chickens last night and wanted to add to places they felt might be easier places to get in.  There is still much to be done to get the back area more ready for the chickens before cold weather sets in.

Finished listening to: Somewhere Beyond the Sea, by TJ Klune.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!

On another note, my dad would have been 92 today.  Both of my parents have been gone for over 20 years.  Sometimes I wonder what they would think about how the world has changed as well as how our lives have changed.  🤷🏼‍♀️.  When my kids were little, they would sit, or play quietly, with my dad while he watched the news.  When I was little, I wasn't allowed to watch the news.  Change.
