September 11th
Some happy (ish) things from today:
- During work, the main supervisor was there. At one of our breaks he came in and asked everyone to pause for a moment of silence in memory of the 2001 terrorist attacks. I don't remember them doing this before? Maybe I just missed it. The attacks were a sad thing, it was good that we had this moment of remembrance.
- Thursday means that I had a nice long nap after work. I have a vague notion of some dream that I can't remember. Knowing that I dreamt makes me believe the sleep I had was deep and good.
- After dinner Bel and I went to pick up Corvidae. The moon was rising. It hung large and pale orange in the eastern sky. It is just a few days after the moon was full so it was not quite a full circle. A dark, thin cloud pierced the moon, trying to slice it in half. It was beautiful. Alas, I was driving and not able to take a picture. Once I was alone, I drove a little while, looking for a place to get a photo. The moon hid from me this time. Where I should have seen it again there was cloud cover.

| There are too many lights. In this case, the effect of the rays from the street light cutting across the picture is kind of neat. The moon's glow is peaking from behind the cloud. |
