September 18th
The work week is over. This feels more like a relief this week than I expected. Here are some happy things from today:
- A brief walk in the back yard had my sense of smell alert. The tang of grapes ripe on the vine was light in the air. It appears we have raisins too! I think I will leave the raisins alone.
- Corvidae suggested more than once that I looked tired, so I took a nap. I slept well. There is only a vague, groggy memory of turning off my alarm at 3:30. Then I slept about three more hours. I didn't hear when people came home or left. I didn't hear when a shower was taken and things were knocked over. I must have really needed it. When I woke up, everyone was still out, except Corvidae, who had a phone meeting. I relaxed more by having breakfast for dinner.
- The sky was busy this evening. Being outside to look at the stars around eight or nine at night is different from 12:30 AM. There are more cars and lights from houses. There were also planes and a satellite in the sky! Things are a tad blurry because I wasn't as still as I should have been.

- I decided to try using the drawing prompt again. The prompt offers six things and suggests using at least two or three of them. I chose to use the color pallet and the item. Then I doodled. I sort of went for the mood after I got going, but I don't think I quite got there.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
