Here are some happy things from today:
- Monday mornings are my last mornings at home since I go back to work tonight. Fair weather got me outside to weed some more. I added some mulch in places and then decided to just do surface weeding. I've been digging deep to get rid of as many crabgrass roots as possible. I will go back to do this, but I need to add some good dirt and stepping stones. There is an order of operations in my head and I want to get those things before I dig deeper at this point.

- A wonderful thing happened; the morning glories I planted last week have sprouted! The seeds were old and the season is not right, so this is way more than I expected. Only time will tell if they will bloom before we get frost.
- In the afternoon I met my friend Amy at the park for a walk. It was busy. Holidays will do that. Fresh air, exercise, and friendship made for a great afternoon.
