Sew Well.

 September 8th

Here are some happy things from today:

  • It isn't a normal day for me to work, but I picked up some extra hours today.  Work was busier than I expected.  That said, I kept thinking it was Sunday instead of Monday.  🤣  I only worked until around 9 AM.  That is a little over seven hours.  After work I had a small rest.
  • Bel asked me if I knew anyone who keeps bees.  It seems that they were given some old bee hives to burn. They haven't set fire to them yet and some bees are trying to move in.  Instead, they decided to message someone from the local bee keepers guild to see how best to handle the situation.  Hopefully the bees can be saved.

  • Keziah and I met at the studio this afternoon.  I managed to get my Viking apron dress partially put together on the sewing machine.  If you don't sew, this might not make sense, but I'm pretty happy with the gores I sewed, especially since they are French seams.  Keziah has some lovely silk that she is making a shirt with.

  • Before leaving the studio I tried to do a flat fingerloop braid.  It didn't come out as I expected (it isn't flat), so I'll have to watch the video directions again before retrying.

Thank you for being here and being part of my daily happy things. Stay safe!
