October 12th
Happy Sunday things:
- When I arrived at the archery range this morning there were quite a lot of people practicing. That was good to see. I arrived later than I hoped, but I was able to achieve a small goal. Yesterday the paper mache guitar remained untouched by arrows. Today I hit it and the arrows pierced through. I didn't think it would be a problem, but I wasn't sure if maybe the arrows would bounce off.
- At Baronial Court, I didn't have to be involved. I got to sit and watch people get awards instead of being one of the people handing them out. Some very deserving people were given awards. I wish I took more pictures today.
- Some of my SCA household and I got together and asked some friends to join our household. I'm hopeful that they will say yes.
- There is a person that I am probably going to ask to be my protégé. We have started discussions to lead toward this. There is another person I was hoping to ask about being my protégé as well, but they weren't able to attend the event. I'm trying to figure out all the things I want to do with my SCA life, now that I am no longer Baroness. It seems that there are plenty of things to keep me busy!
- We made it home safe from the event.
- My Art for October today was whittling some of the whale. This process is somehow slower than I thought it would be. I'm looking forward to it getting closer to the shape it is to become.
