November 2nd

Here are some happy things from this lovely Sunday:

  • The GratitangleZ each day for November include a short quote.  I haven't worked that into what I am doing yet, I might not.  This time I am putting the name of the Tangle near or on the Tangle. TF pointed out to me that I made a mistake on the key and missed number nine.  I don’t want to get something like that wrong again.  Anyhow, day two GratitangleZ:

I also changed Day One a little.

  • The bed frame I have is from IKEA and is called BRIMNES.  I absolutely love almost everything about it.  The built in drawers mean there is no need for a bureau or dresser.  The headboard is awesome.  It comes out about a foot from the wall to give me a shelf for lights, my glasses, phone, knickknacks, jewelry and random stuff.  There are also three shelves for books or other storage.  Are there some things that could be improved?  I have ideas, but they aren't problems.  The only problem I have with this bed are the handles on the drawers.  Countless times (including today) I have bumped into them painfully.  Since we are preparing to move, I decided to search IKEA online for other frames.  When I moved from the house to the apartment Keziah didn't want to move my bed again and bought me a new one instead.  Gideon has my old one.  He had outgrown his and needed a new bed anyway.  I thought maybe IKEA would have something new or comparable I could save money for before the move.  They don't.  They have some wonderful frames with storage drawers under the bed that do NOT have external handles, but none that have a similar storage headboard.  I decided to remove the most frequent handle offender so at least I would scrape myself less.  Then I decided to make a replacement handle.  It is a crocheted prototype handle.  I'll try it for a while before replacing the other handles.

  • Much time was spent pulling weeds in the triangle part of the driveway.  If I am able to work there some every dry day, maybe I'll get it finished and more bulbs planted before snowfall.  I'm happy that I made more progress.
Dirt!
