We have completed more than 100th of the trail.
Happy things from Palm Sunday and the first day of Passover.
As I write this we are safe in a hostel. We were very tired from the almost eight miles we hiked today. My FitBit has me at just over thirteen miles. With the occasional side trips, packing and unpacking, looking for views, and wandering around the hostel, maybe?
We are meeting some people along the trail as we hike. Some are so fast, we will probably not see them again. Others we play leapfrog with throughout the day.
When I hike somewhere that has geomarkers I usually take pictures of my hand, and the hands of anyone who hiked with me. We saw our first two geomarkers today. One in a gap, and one at the top of Blood Mountain. Bel and I decided that our feet would have to do for this trip. Neither of us wanted to get our hands down that far. 🤣
