It was hard for me to get going today. Eventually I decided on taking a Sunday drive and sightsee. It would have been cool to find a view of the Dragon's Tooth from below. That was not to be. It was about an hour or so into my Sunday drive that I realized today is Monday. 🤣 I must say that 55 MPH on the roads I traveled seemed a bit excessive. It was a nice drive.
After breaking for lunch, I started driving north. This area of Virginia was as far south as I wanted to go this time. Messaging with Keziah she suggested I go to a creative reuse store in Charlottesville. It was interesting to see some of the different things that the store had that I have yet to see at DIY Craft & Thrift. Things like 3-D printer spools and frame making equipment. Of course, I'm not always at Keziah’s store, she may have had these things, I just never saw them. It was a nice place and the people were friendly. I picked up some stickers for Keziah.
A weird story... Yesterday on one of my hikes I crossed paths with someone that had a familiar-but-I-don't-know-them look. I couldn't place who they reminded me of. They were going down and I was going up. The conversation was quick and pretty normal. It was just pleasantries like "A nice day for a walk," and "enjoy your hike." There must have been something I did as I continued on because they then asked me if I was okay. I replied "Yes, just gotta go slow and steady." That was about it. That short conversation stuck out for me. The person seemed concerned. It is nice to see empathy like that. I hope I portray that level of caring when I notice things like that. Hours later, I realized that the person reminded me of the actor Viggo Mortensen. No, I don't think it was really him.
